Gayle Veber
Gayle Veber has enjoyed 45 years of varied business experience from building oil refineries in the Middle East to directing all financial operations of one of the largest diversified public utilities in the United States. Since 1989 he has lead his own firm doing a variety of investment banking and direct investing for Northwest companies.
Prior to 1989, Mr. Veber spent four years as the Chairman and CEO of PacifiCorp Financial Services and five years as the Senior Vice President and CFO for PacifiCorp. Before joining PacifiCorp, Mr. Veber spent 21 years in finance, corporate planning and engineering in the international petroleum and chemical industry, primarily in international business with Mobil Oil Corporation. He served as Assistant Treasurer of the International Division of Mobil Oil, Assistant Controller of Mobil Chemical, Chief Financial Officer of Halcon International, Treasurer of Mobil’s far eastern operations as well as other assignments.
Mr. Veber has extensive experience in the private and public capital markets, as well as large and small mergers and acquisitions. He has acted as a financial officer to both public and private companies, managed diverse financial services businesses and acted as financial intermediary on scores of transactions.
Mr. Veber’s civic interests keep him closely involved in his community. He is a former chairman of the Cascade Pacific Council of the Boy Scouts of America, the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum, Portland State University Foundation, and Metropolitan Family Services. He is currently a director of CRU-DataPort and a member of the University of Oregon Business School Advisory Board. Past Directorships include Pony Lumber, Pacific Interpreters, Westwood Corporation, Tactix, United Way, St. Vincent Hospital, Edgefield Land Trust, OSU Business School and PSU School of Social Work. Mr. Veber is the owner and developer of Stafford Vineyards, Wilsonville, Oregon, and is a partner with his wife in a specialized fitness business also in Wilsonville, Oregon.
Mr. Veber earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT and Masters in Business Administration from Columbia University. He holds Series 24 and 63 securities registrations with FINRA (formerly the NASD).
